Hanaeleh’s New Facility
Hanaeleh is working to take over the lease where it is located in Santiago Canyon. Hanaeleh has been paired with Bethany’s Gait, an organization that uses horses as therapy for foster and at-risk children. Bethany’s Gait has found a new location off of Ortega Highway, but Hanaeleh has made arrangements to lease the property in Orange County. Bethany’s Gait has been most gracious, allowing Hanaeleh to use the pipes and shelter covers so that Hanaeleh can continue to save horses. |

Rescuing slaughterbound and unwanted horses |
|
Hanaeleh (pronounced Hah-nah-lee) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that operates out of Trabuco Canyon in Orange County, California. Hanaeleh rescues horses who are slaughterbound, neglected or in need of a loving home. Often these horses are abused, neglected, untrained or just drew a bad lot in life– whatever the reason, Hanaeleh is dedicated to helping rescue these horses and adopt them out to a new, forever home. It is Hanaeleh’s desire to be able to take in these horses and find them someone who will take care of them and love them. Many of our horses are listed on Petfinder.com– please click on the link “Horses in Need of Adoption” as well! Hanaeleh also works to try to educate the general public and horse owners about slaughter and other issues, including the atrocities that occur to PMU mares and foals. Many people do not realize the cruel way these noble animals are treated– we strongly encourage you to click on the “Horse Slaughter” link to read about how you can help to end slaughter and other inhumane treatment of horses. Hanaeleh does not display the graphic images that coincide with the practices, but we do link to them. The links to those sites are clearly labeled. Thank you so much for wanting to help these marvelous creatures. Horses add so much to our lives that we feel it is important that we give just a little back to them. If you would like to sponsor a horse, please contact us! Each sponsor will receive a monthly picture and update of their special horse! You can also send a donation via Paypal: donate@hanaeleh.com |
