Nevada was taught how to do the Spanish walk– unfortunately his previous owners used chains to encourage him to pick his feet up.

 

We don’t know the exact cue it is to make him walk, but he definitely knows his stuff!

This was Nevada before he was rescued by Kim M., and before he came to Hanaeleh.

 

Nevada was not only abused by his owners, and hit with chains to encourage him to pick up his feet, but he was also left to starve to death by his previous owners.

 

Nevada has all of his weight back on, but he does have some major trust issues that we are trying to work through!  He is coming along, though– it just takes time and love!
