Gypsy |
|
February, 2010
Gypsy is doing well in her training, and is becoming more and more confident under saddle.
She now walks and trots under saddle, and is learning her leg cues very quickly. She is currently being ridden in an egg-butt snaffle or a French-link snaffle.
Gypsy also free longes well and responds to both body as well as sound cues. She ponies well and is great out on the street.
Gypsy is awesome out on trail and really seems to enjoy being out there!

Summer, 2009
Gypsy here has a bit of a hay-belly! With more riding she will be more fit and trim!
Gypsy actually gets three or four different coats during the year– must be a Mustang thing!
Gypsy was taken off BLM land in April, 2007. She is approximately seven years old, and has grown since we first got her, so she is about 14.2 hands. |

May, 2008
Hanaeleh took possession of Gypsy in May, 2008. She had been captured by the BLM a year before, but her previous owners had not been able to catch her in the pasture for approximately 6 months. It took Hanaeleh’s members four hours to catch her, but when she was caught, she hopped right into the trailer!
Gypsy has some issues with being touched behind her ears as the halter that was on her had grown into her head as she had outgrown it.
Gypsy is registered with the BLM and has a freeze brand on her left side. Her freezebrand number: 02593489 and signalment key: HF1AAAAAJ. |

August, 2010
Gypsy is continuing to progress– she is being ridden in the arena and out on the street as well… she seems to be fine with cars, motorcycles, dogs– she doesn’t really seem to spook at anything!
Gypsy has learned how to read hand cues when being free-longed, so she doesn’t even need a whip to tell her to walk, trot, canter, stop or turn around. She is such a smart horse!
