Horses in need of sponsors!

If you cannot adopt a horse, can you at least help sponsor one? You can make a one-time donation to your favorite horse, or you can sponsor a horse every month! Either way, we will send you a picture and an update of your horse.

All of the horses above who are available for adoption need sponsors, as well as those horses listed below.  The horses below currently are not up for adoption due to their health or mental issues. Please e-mail us for more information: endslaughter@hanaeleh.com

Rio– 15 y/o Arabian/paint gelding

Rio came to Hanaeleh because his owner could no longer afford his board, and wanted to make sure that he went to a wonderful home!  Rio is a cute little Arab/paint cross who has had extensive training in trailering, packing, trail riding, etc.  He knows all of Parelli’s 7 games, and is just an overall sweet horse!

annie– 15 y/o Arabian mare

Annie came to Hanaeleh because she was literally starving to death.  Her owners had moved and had left a number of horses there– Annie was one of the worst cases.  Annie is doing much better now that she is being fed everyday and is no longer covered in muck!  She will be up for adoption once she is healthy!

Tamahome– 10 y/0 Tennessee walker

Tamahome isn’t his original name– because he has been stolen before, we changed it to keep him safe.  Within a matter of three years, Tamahome was sold six times, stolen, and had multiple trainers.  Because of the abuse he suffered at the hand of his trainers, he cannot be ridden in a snaffle bit, and sometimes is dangerous under saddle. Due to his issues, Tamahome will not be put up for adoption.

RENO– 23 y/0 Tennessee walker

Reno was one of four horses that Hanaeleh took in when they were told of a woman who had passed away suddenly when her tractor flipped backwards onto her.  Reno had a very difficult time adjusting, and along with several bouts of laminitis and partial blindness, we thought we might have to put him down. We gave him one last opportunity to live, however, and he’s doing great!

Don’t see a horse here that fits your needs?  Please e-mail us: endslaughter@yahoo.com with what type of horse you’re looking for– many times people ask us if we can help them find good homes for their horses.  This way we can help buyers and sellers connect without having to take a horse that is not necessarily a rescue.  When e-mailing, please be as specific as you can about what you’re looking for– age, breed, height, gender, and what type of training the horse should have. Also please let us know your level of experience (please be honest!), where you plan on keeping the horse, your trainer if applicable, and any other information you think might be useful in helping us match you up with your perfect new friend!

NEVADA– 16 y/o APPALOOSA gelding

Nevada would have most likely starved to death if he was not rescued by Kim M.  He was abused and neglected by his previous owners, but he is now doing well and learning to trust people again!  Nevada works well on the longe-line now, and loves going out for walks with our volunteers.  He is about 14.2-3 hands and has a very sweet disposition!

Horses in need of adoption!

Hanaeleh’s current adoptable Horses are also listed at Petfinder.com.  All of Hanaeleh’s horses have a $1,000 adoption fee unless otherwise stated.  You can view our contract here.

Sapphire– 18 y/o Thoroughbred mare

Sapphire is a previous grand-prix jumper and was used a dressage lesson horse.  She suffered a great deal of abuse from her last owner but is doing wonderfully and is looking for a new home!  Sapphire is wonderful on trail and would make a great jumper, dressage horse or three-day eventer. She would do best with a high-intermediate or experienced rider.

Gypsy– 6 y/o mustang mare

Gypsy faced an uncertain future before Hanaeleh stepped in.  She is very sweet, intelligent, and is doing well in her training under saddle– no bucking, rearing, or anything naughty.  She has wonderful ground manners, stands for the farrier, trailers, longes, etc.  Gypsy is 14.2 hands and is still growing.

Ella– 17 y/o thoroughbred mare

Ella is about 15 hands and is a retired racehorse.  She is very sweet, but she needs someone who will really love her and spend time with her. She does well in a paddock, and is great with other horses!  Ella is rideable and is good out on trail. She can be ridden by beginner riders and is currently being used as a lesson horse.

baron– 8 y/o Tennessee walking horse

Baron is a registered Tennessee Walking horse gelding who needs a great home!  He is a BIG guy– about 16.2 hands, and WIDE!  He needs a home where he will get ridden and turned out everyday.  He is great out on trail, goes through water, etc. Trailers beautifully, clips, ties, stands for the farrier, etc. He is barefoot and sound. He has very smooth gaits and is a very sweet horse!
